Designing a menu with burgers using Adobe Illustrator was both challenging and rewarding. Through this process, I gained a deeper understanding of the importance of visual hierarchy and consistency in design. I learned that every element, from the choice of fonts to the arrangement of items, contributes to the overall aesthetic and usability of the menu. By experimenting with different layouts and styles, I discovered the power of simplicity in conveying information effectively.
In creating the finished menu, I made deliberate design decisions to ensure clarity and visual appeal. The choice of fonts played a crucial role in establishing the menu's tone and personality. Bauhaus 93 added a modern and sleek touch, while Algerian brought a hint of elegance and sophistication. Bernard MT Condensed was used for its readability and boldness, making key information stand out. Additionally, the color choices, predominantly orange, were made to evoke a sense of warmth and appetite stimulation, complementing the burger-centric theme. Other menu items, such as fries and soda cups with straws, were crafted using the pen tool to maintain consistency in style and illustration. Overall, the menu design process taught me the significance of attention to detail and consistency in creating a visually appealing and user-friendly experience for customers.

Think of the principles and elements of design as the essential tools and rules that artists use to create visually appealing and meaningful artwork. Imagine the elements—like lines, shapes, colors, textures, spaces, and forms—as the basic building blocks, similar to the alphabet in writing. These elements are what artists use to bring their ideas to life. Now, the principles—things like balance, contrast, emphasis, unity, movement, and rhythm—are like the guidelines or rules that help artists arrange those building blocks in a way that makes sense and looks good. When designers combine these elements and principles thoughtfully, they can create art that tells a story, conveys emotions, and captivates people. It's like a universal language of visuals that goes beyond words and connects with us all.
This can all be observed in the project above, how each one is applied, a principle and a element.

I made a short story describing my character that I've created for this project,
In the shadowed realms of ancient Japan, there exists a legendary ninja known as Kurojin, whose very name strikes fear into the hearts of adversaries. Born into a clandestine clan with a rich history of stealth and precision, Kurojin's destiny was shaped by the rigorous training and strict discipline of the ninja tradition. From a young age, they displayed an unwavering commitment to mastering the art of silent movement, infiltration, and deadly combat. Kurojin's serious demeanor reflects the gravity of their responsibilities as a protector of honor and justice. Their stoic personality is a result of the sacrifices made to become a formidable force in the shadows, driven by a sense of duty that transcends personal desires. Embracing the code of the ninja, Kurojin moves through the world with an enigmatic aura, dedicated to upholding justice while leaving no trace of their presence behind.
His stance an equipment show how he is serious, formidable and stealthy. My character would probably be in a action movie about a super/special soldier. An inspiration for this character came from a game called HALO and the main character, Master Chief.

This project had several models for it so I started with the screw and nut. While making the model I became more familiar with the Twist Modifier and Boolean Compound Objects. Most of the models I was making required extensive work in the modify tab so I was able to become more proficient using modifiers. But most of what I did was just and extension of what I already knew so it was all pretty easy. But, by doing this lesson its going to help me with future models that require high detail. I also messed around with shading, colors and materials. This lesson was a very fun way to use everything I've learned so far and use new things for my models.
